SKYMAGIC helped bring LEGO’s World Play Day activation to life in celebration of the United Nations’ International Day of Play. Together, we transformed children’s imaginative ideas into a vibrant drone show above Shanghai’s iconic Oriental Pearl TV Tower.

Our performance featured scenes created in collaboration with a LEGO-organised children’s working group. Highlights included a cat on a UFO unloading LEGO bricks, a dragon pollinating the city, a Minifigure controlled robot, and the Oriental Pearl TV Tower rocket launching and orbiting the world.

Using 1,200 drones, a local record for Shanghai, in collaboration with our local partner CQQJ (苍穹科技), we attracted digital and live audiences alike in a moment of childlike wonder for all ages.
